Leaving out error handling and any of the other complications: SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SERIALIZABLE; BEGIN TRANSACTION; ALTER TABLE dbo. And of course if you really need to, you could simply drop and re-create the table.
Just make sure to take care of exporting and importing the data if you want to keep it.
